Vacation!

Let me just say, I am having a hard time blogging lately because all four kids are here all day now and I can never find a quiet moment. So this will be mostly pictures (which I'm sure you care more about anyway!).

We left for vacation a week after school got out. We visited Adam's parents first at their new house. They had just moved in, so it was really nice of them to let us invade with all our messy children! We made our traditional visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium (Adam's mom gets free tickets from the local library, nice!). We always have a good time there, but it was a little chaotic this time around, as I'm sure you can imagine. I don't think we'll be going again for a few years.

They have a new sea turtle exhibit. I once swam with sea turtles in Hawaii, it was kind of scary actually. This was much more preferable, haha.

This is kind of blurry, but I thought it was hilarious! "The penguin's biting my bum!"
By far the most entertaining part of the whole visit. This turned into quite the splash zone, which, funny enough, is what the area of the aquarium is called.
Brandon got bored quickly with the water and moved on to shape sorting, he actually did a few by himself!
But Jackson... You can see the huge globs of water flying.

This kid was SOAKED! It was like he fell in a pool or something. We had to change both of them when they were done, it took days for their shoes to dry. Jackson was shivering by the end because the water was pretty cold. I would have let him play for another hour but Adam made me take him away from it before he got sick. At least one of us is responsible...haha.
Our traditional kids with Grandma K in the seashell picture. I love doing this, each time our kids double! I also love Ian's face. Ian and his cousin Nick. These two were inseparable during our visit. Nick was also so cute with Hailey, I wish I got a pic of them too.
Adam and his sister Audrey.
The aquarium sure took a lot out of me and the twins! I was more than ready to go home but we had promised Ian we would go to "the park with the big train engine" after the aquarium. Jackson fell asleep almost instantly in the car so we stopped at the park and let the kids play for about 20 minutes with Adam while I sat in the car with the babies. I wish I could have seen Hailey's reaction to these huge slides, definitely her favorite thing to do at any park.

These are the things memories are made of :)
